The sound quality is better than the $70 Sony plugs I just tossed in the trash. For the money, you won't find a better set of stereo ear plugs. The foam ear tips take a little getting used to, but they do an excellent job of blocking ambient noise.
Sound quality is okay and noise blocking is good. They work fine as backup headphones and use at they gym. Bottom line - the price was right at around $15.
They fit in the ear in a strange way that causes them to fall out. One problem these are 12 dollar headphones. These do have a nice sound though (besides the muddy bass) what im trying to say is stop being cheap and go buy something a little more and save yourself the trouble of needing to replace these. These koss headphones are decent, I heard they were not that reliable and people were right. They will repair any headphones for a flat rate of 14 bucks. I recommend buying some phillips headphones, They fit in the ear much better and sound more balanced.
These apparently are made in China, where all bad products come from. However, i wanted another pair for my wife and when they arrived they had NO BASE whatsoever. The pair that i bought 6 years ago are the most comfortable ear plugs that i have ever had and they still have exceptional base. They are the exact same look and name, but apparently Koss doesn't do quality control anymore and I would suggest buying another brand, preferrably American made. I have been a stereo connoisseur since the 70's and have always studied and only bought the best for the money value. About 6 years ago, i bought a pair of Koss Spark Plugs and still have them. They are extemely "tinny" in sound and even my wife acknowledged that they did not sound good at all.
And, they don't have the fall out problems associated with typical ear buds. The isolation from the outside noise is better than most other ear bud style phones. The Plug model earphones sound about the same, but do not protrude from the ear quite as much. For a younger person with perfect hearing these might have less fidelity than others. However, these are extremely comfortable. Koss, "The Plug" earphones are also worth consideration.
